About Me
Hi, I'm Harmony Maraldo, the owner of Tack & Tuft. My passion for upholstery began while attending workshops at the Furniture Institute of Massachusetts, where I practiced under the master Joseph Karagezian. Enamored by the exquisite profiles of 18th and 19th century American furniture, and paired with a deep appreciation for the preservation trades, I chose to specialize in traditional upholstery methods. I pride myself on craftsmanship and quality, minding every detail in my upholstered pieces.

Tack & Tuft is a one-woman shop, though I occasionally employ the assistance of my husband, Nick, a period furniture maker and owner of Wicked Creek Woodworks. I am a proud member of the National Upholstery Association, currently serving on its Board of Directors and as Membership Committee Chair. I am also a member of the Professional Upholsterer’s Network and the Society of American Period Furniture Makers.
I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Prior to starting an upholstery business, I held several positions in operations, management, finance, sales, and marketing, mostly in analytical roles. My corporate expertise is in pricing strategy and process improvement.
